Several people have asked me about the image at the top of my pages.
I took this photo in the summer of 2008, during a trip by boat along the Brenta Canal, which goes from Venice to Padua. This was the area where the Venetian nobility built their holiday homes – Palladian villas on a grand scale. This photo shows an installation by the Italian artist Mimmo Paladino in the gardens of the Villa Pisani.
